TRIO de Turismo Costa Rica
Situated in Manzanillo, this small paradise seems to be in the middle of nowhere…everything is beautifully prepared and you'll receive the best welcome by Oliver, the owner of the lodge. This is a hotel we highly recommend and which deserves at least 3 nights.
“Excellent, not for resorters”
Lodge Ylang Ylang
Stayed at Jlang Jlang for 4 nights in a beach bungalow ("dome") with gfreind. Very well done, but know what you are getting into. Bungalow was clean, comfortable, fancy relative to other Montezuma digs. Very private and tasteful done for the gorgeous beach/manicured jungle surroundings. The grounds and pool are awesome. Lots of creatures big and small---from the monkey troops that wake you up at 5:30am to the lizards to the parrots to the smaller creatures etc. in the room. The bungalows have no screens, so crabs, ants, etc. can and do come in. Nothing poisonous, the occassional mosquito bite. No AC. The mosquito net kept out the mosquitoes, but it was sometimes hot in the bed as a result. A floor fan would be great, or an ambien. Dinner and breakfast were included (215/night). Great food, although we felt like we had to eat there due to the price and would have preferred to eat in Montezuma more often for variation. Beach in front of the place is not for kids, although Playa Grande is OK (10-15 minute walk) but strong undercurrents at times when waves are big. Don't come here (or to Montezuma) expecting all incusive or Cancun type place. I went fishing with Roberto through one of the places in town, caught 8 mahi mahi, had Ylang kitchen cook one night. Was outstanding. Took the bus to Cabo Blanco one day, well worth it (7 mile ? hike to beach and back). Wish I had brought my snorkel stuff to Cabo Blanco beach. Jlang staff was very nice and helpful.
“Loved it!”
Lodge Ylang Ylang
This place is amazing, situated in the perfect location on the coast. There are several bungalow style rooms that make the resort seem surreal. I would recommend this place because of the location (close to Mal Pais, but not in this overcrowded town), and the style of the lodge.
“Magnifique”
Lodge Ylang Ylang
“Thank you so much for a peaceful and beautiful stay! What a tranquil environment you have created…. keep on creating the fusion of art and space!”

“A wonderful stay. Your place ranks # 1 in Costa Rica in our view!”
(Paul and Jackie, February 2006)
“Thank you for creating this beautiful place, conserving the beauty of Costa Rica and the welcoming atmosphere of your hotel.”
(Paula, March 2006)
“It has been nothing but a wonderful experience… the hospitality, the tranquility, the surroundings, the beach, the cabina – everything, a perfect place.”
(Candace and Jakob , June 2007)
